Downtown Family YMCA

The Downtown Family YMCA opened its doors in 1964 and has since been a landmark in the Downtown Boise area. We currently help over 15,000 active youth, adult, and family members lead a healthier, happier life through the following facility features and amenities:

General

• Cardio fitness center (complete with cutting-edge equipment and stretching area)
• 5 fitness studios that house a wide variety of Group Exercise programs»
• Full-court basketball gymnasium
• Variety of weight-lifting systems and rooms
• 3 Racquetball courts (two which can be converted for Squash)
• Indoor climbing wall

• Separate locker facilities for adults, youth/family, and special needs members

Aquatics Center

• 3 swimming pools
• Heated spa pool (104 degrees, must be 15 or older or accompanied by guardian, ages 5 and under not allowed)
• 25-yard, 6-lane lap pool (heated at 80-82 degrees)
• Recreational pool (heated at 87-89 degrees) with two slides, a “pretzel” and drop slide, and 3 lap lanes
• Children’s pool for kids 6 and under (1-1.5 feet deep with a dragon-shaped slide and tumbling buckets of water)
• Swimming Lessons, Swim Team, and more for youth
• Swimming Lessons, Aquatics Group Exercise, and more for adults
