Dempsey's Brew Pub and Restaurant - named after beloved former Baltimore Oriole Rick Dempsey - is the sports-themed brew pub and restaurant open daily on Eutaw Street at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.Â
The menu is upscale American fare and features a wide assortment of bottled beer to go along with Dempsey's original in-house-brewed draft beers. The restaurant space is 11,000 square feet, with the capacity to hold up to 250 people, plus summer patio seating on Eutaw Street.
Dempsey's décor features Orioles memorabilia and displays of the on-field accomplishments of Dempsey - a member of the Orioles Hall of Fame and the MVP of the 1983 World Series, in which the Orioles defeated the Philadelphia Phillies.
The restaurant - a partnership between Delaware North Companies Sportservice and Dempsey, who is also a member of the Orioles broadcast team - was created to help make the downtown area near Oriole Park at Camden Yards a year-round destination for local residents and visitors to the city. Sportservice became the Orioles' food, beverage and retail partner prior to the 2011 season, bringing its creativity and locally centric menu to the ballpark, many elements of which can be seen in Dempsey's dynamic offerings.Â
"I'm excited and proud to be part of this wonderful brew pub and restaurant here at Oriole Park at Camden Yards," said Dempsey, who was widely regarded as one of the best defensive catchers throughout his 24-year career. "Orioles fans and food enthusiasts will love the experience Dempsey's offers, and we are confident that it will keep Eutaw Street busy throughout the year. With a diverse food selection and a wide array of beer brewed on-site, we will offer items that everyone can enjoy."
Dempsey's Brew Pub and Restaurant, which officially opened during the 2012 season, is a year-round operation - open for lunch and dinner during both game days and non-game days. Â Â
