About Us:
Dance Elektra Performing Arts Centre was founded in 1985 and has been serving the Long Island Community ever since. At Dance Elektra we strive to create a family atmosphere for our students. It is important for the student to become comfortable in order to develop the mind and body to act as one, promoting both grace and confidence.
The owners, Theresa Schoemer and Roanne Mulvey Morse, have over 60 years of teaching experience between them. They remain hands on in the operations of the dance studio and always make time to address customer’s questions or concerns. Dance Elektra’s staff is both professional and courteous. Together their talents have been recognized worldwide.
Dance Elektra can design a program tailored to fit your child’s need; whether it is a class once a week for fun and exercise or a competitive program for the more serious dancer. We have an annual performance to give all our students a fun filled opportunity to perform. We also volunteer for local performances in the community such as parades, nursing homes and dance expos. Dance Elektra competition team is both regionally and nationally ranked.
Whether you take one dance class or compete with our team, Dance Elektra feels that each and EVERY dancer is vital to the studio. Our mission is that our students leave feeling good about themselves and have gained personal confidence that will benefit throughout their entire life, in any career they choose.
