Crowder State Park

Crowder State Park provides 1,912 acres in the rolling green hills of northern Missouri. Visitors can enjoy more than 17 miles of hiking, bicycling and equestrian trails in a forested, rugged terrain. The park also offers fishing and boating opportunities on 18-acre Crowder Lake. The family-oriented campground includes modern restrooms and shady picnic sites are scattered throughout the park.

Camping

Crowder State Park offers basic and electric campsites, an organized group camp and a special-use camping area. For a little extra space, try one of the park's family campsites.

Boating

Canoes and boats with electric motors are allowed on the 18-acre Crowder Lake. A boat ramp is available.

Fishing

Great fishing opportunities await you at Crowder Lake. The 18-acre lake abounds with channel catfish, largemouth bass, crappie and blue gill, and is available to the public during park hours.

Picnic Areas

The park has 25 picnic areas throughout the park.

PICNIC SHELTERS
If you are planning a large gathering of friends or family, rent one of the two open picnic shelters at a rate of $35 per day. If not reserved, the shelters are available daily on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge. Neither of the open shelters has electricity.

Sycamore Shelter (Shelter 1) is accessible to people with disabilities and will accommodate approximately 50 people. Sycamore Shelter has a large outdoor grill, picnic tables, water fountains and a water hydrant. This shelter has a swing set area for the children in your group. A vault toilet is located by the parking lot and is also accessible.

Burr Oak Shelter (Shelter 3) is set up a hill from a large parking lot. This shelter will accommodate approximately 60 people. Burr Oak Shelter has a large outdoor grill, picnic tables and a water fountain. A vault toilet is located by the parking lot. There are volleyball standards in the grassy area near the shelter for a game of volleyball.  A new playground, which is accessible to people with disabilities, is also located in the grassy area. Hikers can  access Tall Oaks Trail from the Burr Oak Shelter parking lot.

The Enclosed Shelter (Shelter 2) is available by reservation only at a rate of $50 per day. The enclosed shelter is fully furnished for events such as receptions and reunions, and is equipped with a sink, stove, refrigerator, heater and an air conditioner. There are 10 folding white tables and 50 folding chairs inside the shelter. This shelter will accommodate approximately 50 people. There are picnic tables and a large outdoor grill on the concrete back patio. A vault toilet is in close proximity.

PLAYGROUNDS
To keep the kids entertained, there are three conveniently-located playground areas -- one in the campground, one at Burr Oak Shelter and one by Sycamore Shelter.
