Cornerstone Gallery

The mission of the Cornerstone Gallery is to develop a cultural community in Blue Island and the surrounding communities. Visual artists are invited to show in group shows three times a year and performing artists are also encouraged to showcase their talents.  Musicians, poets, and drumming circles are just a few of the local talents that have appeared in the gallery space. Artists are afforded an exceptional opportunity to mingle with the guests in a very informal atmosphere. Cornerstone Gallery’s vision is to “demystify” art and  to afford the general public and local visitors an enjoyable and unintimidating experience.  Everyone associated with the gallery and studio is approachable because the gallery’s mission is make the space about art, about the people who make it and the people who appreciate it; about our commonalities; and about our  desire to  share our vision with others.
