The Center’s mission is to preserve and interpret the evolution and development of the land, its inhabitants and their interrelationship with the Eastern Shore’s noblest river (the Great Choptank River).
The Center promotes understanding, appreciation, and experiences that interpret the riverine history of the Choptank River, as it relates to the agricultural and cultural development within the Eastern Shore’s longest river system, through research, programs, exhibits and publications.
