The historic buildings from 417 through 425 River Street are part of Troy's iconic waterfront when it was a bustling Hudson River port known as "The Collar City" and made famous by "Uncle" Sam Wilson. In their early years, the buildings housed a grocery store, a woolen products retailer, a collar manufacturer and a moving and storage warehouse. Most recently, the primary Taproom bar and restaurant space at 417 River Street was the home of Snyder Printing until a massive fire gutted the building in the mid 1980's.Â
