Open: April - December
Nestled against the coastal foothills of the southern Willamette Valley, just northwest of Eugene, Brigadoon Vineyards represents a multi-generational commitment to sustainable agriculture. From soil preparation to planting and harvest, each member of our family takes an active part in the growth and development of our farm, whose vineyard is complimented by timber, Christmas and fruit trees, and a seasonal herd of sheep. Our secluded canyon, graced by an abundance of wildlife, is home to the warm days, cool nights, and fertile soils that are the essential balance needed to create great wines.
Our 66-acre farm straddles an unnamed tributary of Ferguson Creek. On one side, with an eastern exposure sits 2 ½ acres of Pinot Noir and ½ acre of Riesling. On the other side of the creek, facing west is, 3 ½ acres of Pinot Noir, 4 acres of Pinot Blanc, and 4 ½ acres of rootstock.
With an elevation between 400 and 600ft and predominantly Bellpine soils our site is cooler and generally one week behind our neighbors. The additional time on the vine allows for further physiological fruit development and flavor development without necessarily producing higher sugars resulting in higher alcohol wines.
Our goal is to grow grapes and produce wines that accurately portray the variety, our vineyard and the vintage.
