About:

Brier Brewing was started by Morgan Ferry, who grew up in the Puget Sound and currently lives in Brier, WA. Morgan is currently a software engineer, and created the brewery to broaden his experience with brewing beer. The brewery focuses on building beers that are unique and full of flavor. Because we are a small brewery, we can afford to experiment and produce beers that are not typically made. With that said, we still brew beers that are common to the Pacific Northwest, keeping everyone's tastes in mind. As we get on our feet, we will offer more of a variety.

Our brewery and taproom are located in a converted garage attached to the brewers home. The setup truly represents what a small, local nano-brewery is. The Brewery and taproom are currently closed to the public for tastings. We will post on our website where you can locally drink our beer or get a growler filled.

Our brew system was custom made by a local company, 2 Brew Guys. The kettles and fermenters were made by Stout Tanks in Portland, OR. We produce 20 gallons of beer from each batch. Our goal is to take 5 gallons of each batch and test that with oak barrel aging, dry hopping, etc to test out and create variations of our most popular beers.

The brew system is controlled by a custom controller that was designed, built and programmed by Morgan. The heart of the system is a BCS controller. This allows us to closely control, monitor and record most aspects of the brewing process.
