Our Story

We purchased the old city hall/St. Michael's Church in downtown Grand Ledge, MI in August 2015. The building needed a lot of work before we could start building our bar and brewhouse walls. A new roof was installed as well as new windows in the basement as they all leaked. once that was completed, we were able to carefully demolish the office walls that were put up for city hall. The original ceiling had lots of water damage and had to be pulled down. A new bead board ceiling was carefully installed with the new lights and ceiling fans. Everything had to be cleaned and several coats of paint put on to cover up the previous rainbow of colors. Sidewalks were torn out, doors were moved and ramps were poured to make our building compliant with current ADA codes. Brewing equipment was installed in the main hall and in a cold room in the basement where the finished beer is stored. The bar tops were build in place and covered with multiple coats of epoxy. It only took 2 years, 3 months and 10 days (or 833 days) from getting the keys to opening the doors on December 8, 2017.
