Come explore with us. Discover Southeast Missouri where dinosaurs roamed, man explored, and brother fought brother. Our exhibits feature natural and people history spanning the ages. Step back in time to the age of dinosaurs, explore life on the Trail of Tears, enjoy metal sculptures, paintings and drawings from the Tom Runnels collection, see fossils, wild life taxidermy mounts and much more inside this architectural treasure that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Relax in the Discover & Play area and find unique souvenirs and gifts in our Gift Shop.

Come in and discover our new exhibits and visit some old favorites.
Enjoy our new exhibit featuring  pottery and artifacts from the Mississippian mound building people of the Peter Bess settlement in Bollinger County, MO.

Other new exhibits of interest include: Ancient Ocean Life, Missouri Dinosaur Discovery, Fishes of Missouri, Missouri Symbols, and Agriculture in Missouri. 


Other exhibits include: Lewis and Clark Exhibit, American Indian artifacts, local Civil War history, Will Mayfield College memorabilia, and many other items of interest.

Museum Hours: Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 12:00pm-4:30pm and the first Sunday of each month 12:00pm-4:30pm

Admission: Adults $5 and 17 years and under $2
