Bolack Museum Of Fish And Wildlife

3901 Bloomfield Highway
Farmington, NM 87401

In over seven decades of hunting, Tom Bolack had seen alarming changes in the environment and in human and wildlife populations. Expanding human populations have pressured thriving wildlife species into scant survival. Tom spend much of his life demonstrating effective recovery and maintenance measures in conservation. This philosophy continues as Tommy carries on the family commitment.

Tom believe that what we do today affects many generations to come.

Specimens on display were, for the most part, very old and would be considered a burden to the ability of the herd to reproduce. Mass slaughter for any kind of gain has always been something the Bolacks are strongly against. A specimen has been taken, and painstaking effort has been made to show the beauty and function of nature so man may appreciate and want to protect it. In tom's words, "If you could see what i have seen, you would know what a gift nature is." Tom passed away May 1998, at the age of 80.
