About Us:

Originally from the small town of Mancos in southwest Colorado, carpenter and BJCP judge Dave "Beef" Miera is the founder and owner of Boggy Draw Brewery. After homebrewing for nearly 30 years, Beef decided it was time to bring his dream to fruition of owning a brewery that serves the highest quality ales.

Boggy Draw Brewery pays homage to Beef's favorite hunting site in the San Juan National Forest, the first place his father took him hunting as a young boy. Not long after that first hunting trip, Beef's dad passed away. While his pops left this world when Beef was young, he vowed to preserve his dad's legacy and grew up to become a hunter, carpenter and brewer, all of which are hands-on and rely on immense patience, attention to detail and an appreciation for the craft.
