About Us:

The Birks Museum is located in Gorin Hall at Millikin University. The museum was founded for the purpose of storing and sharing timeless works of art and craft with the University as well as the community, both local and global.

History:

The Birks Museeum was dedicated on May 23, 1981, and is housed in what was the reading room of the University's second library. in Gorin Hall. The exhibits space takes great advantage of the soaring ceilings, exquisite woodwork on the walls, and simple peacefulness of this space. The parts of the collections which are not displayed are meticulously stored in what was the library's book stacks.
