A 137-site campground is situated in a shady, wooded site with buffer strips between most of the sites. Bewabic has picnic areas, a tennis court, a hiking trail, two playgrounds, an excellent beach and a boat launch to Fortune Lake. It is also part of the Iron County Heritage Trail system.
Activities:
Cross Country Ski: Although the campground is closed for the winter, cross-country skiing on ungroomed trails allows and opportunity to explore winter landscapes.
Boat Rental: Kayaks and canoes are available for rent
Fishing: Perch, bass, bluegill and walleye are plentiful in Fortune Lake.
Hiking: A trail begins in the campground and leads to the day use area. Benches along the route allow hikers time to stop and appreciate the natural areas. The trail takes about one hour to hike.
Hunting: This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 ft. of an occupied dwelling. Learn more about hunting.
Off-Road Vehicle Trails/Routes: ORV use at the park is permitted on park roads for the purpose of loading, unloading and riding from a designated parking area or campsite to access nearby trail networks.
