Open Year Round

Berghold Vineyards and Winery is an architecturally unique 5,000 case boutique family estate winery located in the heart of the Lodi Appellation. Designed around Joe and Kay Berghold's vast collection of American Victorian antiques and art, the winery combines the new with the old and boasts stunning interior and exterior features that are superior in quality and style. The grounds are exquisite from the rose lined driveway leading up to the winery to the Italian Marble fountains that grace the property. More than 1,400 rose bushes and 60 mature olive trees - which will provide the fruit for estate bottled Olive Oil - and expansive lawns add to the beautiful landscape.

Berghold Vineyards is an Estate Winery that has been growing wine grapes in Lodi since 1986. Today, the estate is an assemblage of three contiguous vineyards totaling 85 acres of Syrah, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel.

Formed millions of years ago through geological events and alluvial waters, Lodi has been a major winegrape growing region since the 1850's. The Mokelumne and Cosumnes Rivers which both originate in the Sierra Nevada, feed Lodi and were instrumental in bringing soils rich in minerals to the area. With generations of family owned vineyards now comprising more than 80,000 acres of premium winegrapes and more than 50 wineries, the Lodi Appellation is quickly becoming recognized as one of California's most exciting new appellations.
