The Belding Museum is located in the historic Belrockton Dormitory, built in 1906 to house the large number of single women employed at the silk mills when Belding was known as the "Silk Capital of the World". The museum occupies three floors and features a wide assortment of artifacts and displays from Belding's past. The museum is open the first Sunday of each month from 1 to 4 p.m. To book a private tour or get more information contact the City of Belding website www.ci.belding.mi.us or kthomas@ci.belding.mi.us


"The BEL" (Belding Exploratory Lab) is their exciting hands-on museum especially for children! Located in a special area of the Belding Museum, it provides touchable experiences on a wide variety of themes centered around Belding's rich heritage, like flying an airplane, fishing on the Flat River or finding dinosaur relics. The BEL is open from 1 to 4 pm the first Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday of October through June, and during July, August and September from 1 to 4 pm the first Sunday and every Wednesday.
