We are a 2- acre off-leash dog park dedicated to provide all of our canine friends a safe and fun place to play. Dog Parks are incredibly beneficial as they help socialize your dogs with other dogs and people, making them much better canine citizens! Whether a local or a visitor to our area, you and your canine companions are welcome.
Our History:
Bark Park was founded in 2002 by Deborah "Spike" Alfassa as a tribute to her beloved dog, Nyx. It was Deborah's vision a safe place for dogs to play with their owners, and as an opportunity for the dogs to socialize and run free of their leashes in a safe and secure environment.
It took several years to aquire the land, raise the money to clear it, and then build the Park. We celebrated the grand opening in August 2006.
Mission Statement:
Bark Park, Inc is a non-profit organization of responsible dog owners, their canine companions, and the greater community of Walton County.
Our mission is to "establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property, or wildlife.
To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers, and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions.
