The Bangor & Aroostook Trail is a 61 mile trail that is divided into two sections that link to one another in the Town of Stockholm. The first section of trail travels through the Towns of Mapleton, Washburn, and Stockholm while the second section connects the Towns of Caribou to Stockholm and then continues on to the Town of Van Buren. Riders will find a gravel surface trail that is open to multiple use, year round. Scenery varies from open fields to deep woods, and meanders along many streams. Most of this trail is very remote and riders should be prepared for a backcountry experience.
