"Every customer who walks in the door has a story to tell...” says Sheri Sochor, owner of Arts & Framing, located at 112 Main Street. “That’s what I enjoy most about being here.”
Although Putnam is known for its antiques, there are many other businesses providing variety on Putnam’s Main Street. Entrepreneurs like Sheri put their creativity to work - furnishing that ‘finishing touch’ for customers searching for something special.
Following a career in the corporate world, Sheri turned a love for photography and a hobby into a second career. How many of us have dreamed of doing the same? As a photographer, Sheri has always been interested in art, and it was a natural move for her to take over Arts & Framing. “A quality frame completes a piece, whether it’s a painting, photograph, or a document.” Sheri enjoys putting her eye to the test; helping her customers select the frame and matting that best compliments their artwork and their home.
There is more to Arts & Framing than just frames. Arts & Framing also provides restoration of antique frames and paintings - giving them a second chance to shine.
The gallery walls are filled with the work of local artists as well. “I am passionate about bringing new and seasoned local artists to display their work here,” says Sheri. Artwork is displayed in the front window on Main Street, throughout the shop, the loft, and lobby.
