AARP Eye Center
2005 has been a gratifying and successful year for The Anthropology Museum of the People of New York and The Armenian Cultural Educational Center Gallery. We celebrated the opening on April 16, 2005 to a huge crowd. The "Human Face of Anthropology" and "Armenia: Memories From My Home" exhibits are ready for your visit. We are on the Mezzanine floor of Kissena Hall at 64-19 Kisssena Boulevard, Flushing, NY. The Board of Trustees and the Director, Margaret C. Tellalian-Kyrkostas are thankful for the concern and commitment of Museum members who helped us raise the $30,000 necessary to plan the installation of the Armenianas well as the Anthropology exhibits. The George and Alice Kevorkian Foundation donated $12,500 in matching funds towards the planning andinstallation of the exhibits. The Center will enrich the culture of the Armenian people as well as other ethnic groups that are featured in the exhibit. A cross-cultural approach to understanding differences among ethnic groups is the goal of both organizations. The Museum will identify, document and preserve for posterity the culture and history of the Armenian people in the context of historical world events.
