The museum’s exhibits include dinosaurs and fossils, two authentic Egyptian mummies, mammals in open dioramas, a collection of 400 species of birds, a walk-through replica of an Alabama cave, children’s discovery room, nature trails, and picnic areas. Set within Anniston's Lagarde Park, the Berman Museum of World History is just next door. Inside the museum, the Regar-Werner Ornithology Collection displays more than 400 species of birds and is one of the oldest such collections in the world

The Museum preserves and studies collections that relate to humankind and the natural environment and interprets these through interdisciplinary exhibits and programs.
