Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art

409 East College Boulevard
Roswell, NM 88201

505-623-5600

The Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art opened its doors in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1994 to showcase works of art produced by alumni of the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program.

The Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art boasts a large collection of public art works by Luis Jimenez. These larger-than-life fiberglass sculptures are at home in the roomy galleries as are paintings by Stu Arends, Scott Greene, Joshua Rose, Cristina Gonzalez, James McGarrell, Linda Mieko Allen, Milton Resnick, William Goodman, Diane Marsh, Phillis Ideal and David Reed. Ceramic sculpture by Eddie Dominguez and golf bag sharks by Robbie Barber feel as comfortable at AMoCA as do new-media pieces by Julia Couzens, Jerry Bleem, Kumi Yamashita, Eric Snell and Al Souza. Works by photographers Shana & Robert ParkeHarrison, Dore Gardner and Ted Kuykendall are also part of this remarkable collection.

Over the years the Museum has become a treasured resource for Roswell and the surrounding community. Its comfortable furnishings and catering kitchen make AMoCA an ideal place for social events as well as for viewing its art. It has gradually evolved into the place of choice for community events. Civic, charitable, and arts-related organizations use AMoCA's spacious galleries to host fundraising dinners, concerts, meetings and workshops of all kinds.
