The 9 hole course lies in a verdant valley between gentle hills of wild native grass, and a scattering of basalt and firs. Add to that a panoramic view of the Wallowa Mountains, reaching to heights of 9000 feet, makes the Alpine Meadows setting ideal for the game. With several of its fairways bordering a meandering Trout Creek the challenge to make par of 72 for 18 holes becomes even greater.
