About Us:
Adelbert's Brewery is an award-winning microbrewery that produces bottle-conditioned ales in Austin, Texas. The brewery believes excellent beer requires quality ingredients and hands-on brewing. We use non-GMO Bohemian floor malted barley, Noble hops, and fresh yeast propagated at the brewery. While brewing, we utilize a multi-temperature decoction mash to extract a more complex flavor from our grains. With our vast array of beer styles, you're sure to find a brew that suits you.
Started by Scott Hovey, Adelbert's Brewery is a tribute to his brother, George Adelbert Hovey (1953-2000). Del always took time to enjoy a beer with family and friends. He visited and lived in many regions of the world, wholeheartedly embracing the local people. He was a generous individual, genuinely concerned with the welfare of everyone he met. Whether he was working with the president of his company or a worker hand pollinating flowers in a greenhouse, he treated them with respect and dignity. He lived to a high standard of empathy and self-sacrifice.
Scott, founder and brewmaster of Adelbert's Brewery, believes in brewing the beer he likes to drink. A passionate homebrewer for many years, he found his calling when sampling aged Belgian beers at his first Craft Brewer's Conference (CBC). In 2010, he completed the Master Brewers Association of the Americas' Malting and Brewing Science Course.
