We’re here for the 50+ in our nation’s capital, to offer free events and enriching experiences for members and their guests that can help with finances, family, and fun!

With AARP DC, you can:

  • Connect with peers in your community.
  • Participate in virtual and in-person volunteer opportunities, such as the AARP DC Speakers Bureau or serving as a Ward Liaison.
  • Ward Liaisons help fight for issues that matter to older adults, such as nutrition access, staying in your community as you age, affordable housing, and lowering the cost of prescription drugs. You may be asked to testify before the DC Council and attend community meetings.

If interested in becoming a volunteer, please email Jocelyn Daughtry at jdaughtry@aarp.org.
