Webinars on Artificial Intelligence for Beginners Offered

Posted on 10/29/24

Artificial Intelligence or AI is changing the way we search, use and understand the Internet. That’s why AARP Hawai`i is offering a series of webinars on AI to help kupuna understand how to identify AI fakes and to use AI.

The first class, an Introduction to AI, starts on Nov. 5. Classes on the following Tuesdays will review AI and Disinformation – how to recognize AI deep fake images and cloned voices; and using AI Image Generation – how to unleash your creativity by generating images even if you don’t know how to draw or take photos and video.

Kupuna and others who want to learn about the potential and pitfalls of AI can go to aarp.org/local or the AARP Hawai`i Facebook page and click on Events to see and register for the AI webinars and all the webinars and in-person events AARP is offering.

The online technology classes will be taught by Older Adults Technology Services, also known as OATS or Senior Planet, an AARP-affiliated nonprofit group that has been helping kupuna learn and use technology since 2004.

All classes will be offered on Zoom. You don’t have to be an AARP member or of AARP to sign up, but you must pre-register to get a Zoom link.
