Vermont Volunteer Wins Top AARP Award

Posted on 11/04/22 by The AARP Bulletin

Sophie Quest, of Burlington, has received AARP’s top volunteer award, the Andrus Award for Community Service.

“Sophie has been committed to community service for over 20 years at AARP Vermont, working on issues ranging from pedestrian safety, housing, health care and utility regulation,” says Greg Marchildon, AARP Vermont state director. “She is passionate about her work on behalf of Vermonters of all ages.”

Quest, who also is active with organizations such as Grand Isle State Park and the South Burlington Planning Commission, was presented with the award at a volunteer recognition event earlier this month, where she was credited with enriching Vermont communities.
