Special Election: Philadelphia – 201st House Legislative District

Posted on 08/20/24

After announcing in January that he would not seek re-election, Stephen Kinsey resigned his seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives effective July 16, 2024.

House Speaker Joanna McClinton scheduled a Special Election for Tuesday, September 17, 2024 to fill the remainder of Kinsey’s term.

AARP Pennsylvania is dedicated to ensuring that Philadelphia residents of the 201st House Legislative District know how to register to vote, where to vote in person, what the rules are for mail-in, absentee or early voting, and key dates for voting.

While AARP Pennsylvania strongly encourages people to get out and vote for the candidates of their choice, we are non-partisan - we do not endorse or oppose any political candidates. We do not have a political action committee for donating to candidates or contribute to any candidate or political party.
