Rapid City Offering AARP FitLot Introductory Classes
Rapid City is home to South Dakota's only AARP FitLotTM - a fitness park designed for all ages and abilities.
The city's Parks and Recreation team is offering a free introductory session on Thursday, September 28, for anyone wanting to learn more about proper form, safe equipment use, and the format of FitLotTM Method Circuit Training classes in a slower-paced, light-effort instructional setting.
Individuals can register for this free class that will take place from 8:30-9:15 a.m. at Roosevelt Park.
There will also be a two-week introduction series on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 19 from 7:30-8:15 a.m.
Please wear comfortable clothes (dress for the weather) and shoes that you can move in, and bring a water bottle, towel and hand sanitizer.
This class is designed for all ages and abilities to comfortably participate, but please make sure you are cleared for physical activity by your physician before beginning a new exercise routine.
