Questions about Social Security? Join us for lunch and answers.
Social Security is your money – you earned it through a lifetime of hard work. And for most people, it is essential for helping to cover daily living expenses and pay bills. AARP knows that you work hard and pay into Social Security, so it’s only fair for you to expect to get the money you’ve earned.
Social Security is facing a funding shortfall that must be addressed so we can protect it for you and every American. If politicians don’t take action to protect and save Social Security in the next 10 years, your Social Security could be cut by 20 percent – an average of $4,000 a year. AARP is urging Washington to find a solution to protect and save Social Security, so you get the money you’ve earned.
Join AARP at a free Social Security lunch and learn, which will focus on building an understanding of the implications of Social Security claiming decisions. You will discover what Social Security is, and you will also learn how to secure your benefits. Build confidence in making a decision that is right for you!
