Prepare for Action: Advocacy Training for 2024 Legislative Session

Posted on 02/16/24

Advocacy Update 2/7/24

Thank you for your dedicated advocacy work on issues vital to the 50+. To register for our upcoming advocacy training. On Tuesday, February 27 we will be hosting two sessions. Please register for one (1) session below.

Morning Session (10 AM): CLICK HERE to register.
Evening Session (6 PM) CLICK HERE to register.

Given the legislature's focus on budget, redistricting, and crime, we're adjusting our pre-session advocacy approach. Instead of specific bill asks, we'll deliver folders outlining our priorities to district offices, followed by phone introductions. This is crucial, especially with new legislators.

Join us in a couple of weeks to delve into topics like financial resilience, fraud prevention, healthcare, aging in place, and family caregiving. Your participation is invaluable.

For more information, and to learn how you can get involved, contact Andrew Muhl, advocacy director at amuhl@aarp.org or (225) 376-1151.
