Learning on the Go: Meet Health Care Providers on a Walk With a Doc

Posted on 10/31/22 by The AARP Bulletin

AARP Tampa Bay is hosting a series of walking events during which people can enjoy an outdoor stroll while chatting with local health care professionals.

The organization Walk With a Doc is partnering with AARP to connect health care workers with members of the community.

During the fall, Tampa General Hospital has assigned two nurse practitioners to provide health education and lead a walk on the second Saturday of each month. Walks will be held Nov. 12 and Dec. 10. They start at 8:30 a.m. at Woodland Terrace Park, 6410 N. 32nd St., in Tampa.

AARP staff and volunteers will serve as walk champions for the free event. Registration is required. Do so at local.aarp.org/tampa-fl/aarp-events.
