How to Vote in the 36th State Senate District Special Election

Due to the resignation of former State Senator Ryan Aument to become US Senator David McCormick’s Pennsylvania Director, the 36th Senate District seat is vacant. Voters in this district will have a Special Election on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 to fill the unexpired term.

What are the key dates regarding the March 25, 2025 Special Election?

• Last day to register to vote: Monday, March 10, 2025
• Last day to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot: Tuesday, March 18, 2025
• Last day for the County Board of Elections to receive voted mail-in or absentee ballots: Tuesday, March 25, 2025– must be received by 8:00 P.M. to be counted
• Special Election Day for the 36^th State Senatorial Seat: Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Polls are open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
