Hit the Links: Join AARP for Anchorage Tee Times Through August

It’s golf season, when icy temperatures surrender to summer’s midnight sun — ideal for teeing off with AARP at the Anchorage Golf Course.

AARP Alaska invites members and a guest to play Tuesdays, at a discount, with views of Denali. Rounds start at 7 a.m., rain or shine, from mid-May through August. “On lucky mornings, we might share a fairway or green with a lynx, fox or moose,” notes Madeline Holdorf, AARP Alaska volunteer state president. She adds, “It’s a good way to meet folks, get some exercise and hone golf skills — outdoors during our beautiful Alaska summer.”
