Head to Bismarck to Advocate for Older North Dakotans

Posted on 11/30/24 by The AARP Bulletin

Join AARP North Dakota for its annual Advocacy Day at the Capitol on Monday, Jan. 20, in Bismarck.

The night before, participants will learn about key AARP North Dakota advocacy priorities, including prescription drug prices, home- and community-based services, caregiving, fraud, consumer protections and property taxes.

Then on Monday, attendees will go to committee hearings, visit with their legislators one-on-one and sit in on a floor session at the state Capitol.

AARP will cover attendees’ meals and hotel costs and provide buses from Fargo, Valley City and Jamestown. Registration is required. Go to aarp.org/NDevents, call 866-554-5383 or email aarpnd@aarp.org.
