Columbus Volunteer Recognized with January Volunteer Spotlight
Joyce Madison of Columbus was chosen to be featured in our first monthly Volunteer Spotlight as she was recently recognized at the 2023 Volunteer Awards event for her outstanding contributions to AARP Ohio.
As our speakers bureau lead, Joyce schedules presentations with community groups and identifies volunteer presenters. She also goes above and beyond to ensure AARP volunteers have access to our volunteer portal and
AARP resources.
A trusted leader within the Central Ohio volunteer team, Joyce is known to encourage others to action, helping fill critical roles for events and initiatives. Additionally, she has joined multiple review committees, including the Community Challenge Grants and the Andrus Award Selection Committee.
"She is always a willing partner in nearly all elements of our work and is a trusted voice within her peer group," said Holly Holtzen, state director of AARP Ohio. "She leads with clarity and purpose, and her efforts are deeply appreciated by all impacted by her work."
