Be Heard as Montana Lawmakers Prepare to Meet

Posted on 10/31/22 by The AARP Bulletin

The state Legislature convenes for only 90 days every two years. With the 2023 session coming up, AARP is looking for your help.

One way to get involved is to sign up as an e-activist. Throughout the session, AARP Montana will send out legislative updates to e-activists to keep them informed and to urge them to get in touch with lawmakers on key pieces of legislation. On the agenda for 2023: family caregiver support, in-home long-term care services, property tax relief, reduction or elimination of state income taxes on Social Security income and the fight against elder abuse and financial fraud.

AARP members can sign up to become an e-activist at aarp.org/getinvolved.
