AARP Texas Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month 2024!

Welcome to AARP Texas' Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! The month-long observance is an opportunity to honor and celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. This year, AARP Texas has a host of vibrant, engaging, and educational activities scheduled throughout the state, spotlighting the diverse and rich cultures that make up our Hispanic heritage here in Texas.

At AARP Texas, we're excited to be part of this nationwide celebration. Our event line-up includes many events, both in-person and virtual. You can learn to prepare authentic dishes from various Latin American countries and bring the taste of Hispanic culture into your kitchen. There is a virtual series of arts and crafts workshops showcasing the creativity of Hispanic arts, giving you a chance to learn traditional art forms. Plus, we have some exciting sports and entertainment events that include a Hispanic Heritage Weekend with the Astros, Celebrando con AARP 11th Anniversary event featuring top Tejano and Conjunto bands, and for the first time, the Celebrando Dallas Concert and Festival! There’s so much more planned for our month-long celebration, so check this page frequently for new events.
