AARP North Dakota Advocacy

Posted on 03/27/25

In 2025, AARP ND and our engaged volunteers are focused on four priorities: Fraud, prescription drug prices, affordable housing and property taxes. In the first half of the session we've had two big wins.

  • HB 1447 will create important consumer protections to save older North Dakotans from having their life savings stolen by criminals via cryptocurrency kiosks. HB 1447 passed both houses and is on its way to the Governor.
  • HB 1114 would expand the cap on out-of-pocket expenses for insulin and related medical supplies to the private insurance market to $25/month. Pass by the House and Senate, this bill needs next to signed by Gov. Armstrong to become law.
