AARP Montana Welcomes Kristin Page-Nei as its New Director of Advocacy and Outreach

In new Role, Page-Nei will leverage her extensive background to advocate for policies that empower older Montanans.

After an intensive search, AARP Montana is pleased to announce the selection of Kristin Page-Nei as its new associate state director of advocacy and outreach.

In this role, Page-Nei will serve as the advocacy lead for AARP in Montana with direct responsibility for federal, state and local advocacy, government relations and policy issues. Additionally, Page-Nei will work on outreach initiatives designed to enhance awareness and community relationships, while identifying and engaging volunteers in grassroots activities.

Kristin Page-Nei is a seasoned Government Relations Director with over 24 years of experience advocating for cancer patients and their families across Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Her work includes advancing critical legislation, securing research funding, and expanding access to care, as well as efforts in tobacco policy to reduce cancer risks. Her seven years on the Missoula Aging Services Board have further strengthened her dedication to addressing the needs of older adults.

At AARP, Page-Nei will leverage her extensive background to advocate for policies that empower older Americans, effectively connecting state-level policy with community needs. She enjoys exploring Montana’s natural beauty, from hiking and swimming to festivals and farmers markets, and is a proud University of Montana alumna and Montana Grizzly Football fan. Kristin treasures time with her friends and family, including her octogenarian parents, two grown children, and her grandson.

Looking ahead to her first legislative session with AARP, Page-Nei expects to be working on health care, caregiving, consumer protection, utility and tax issues. She will continue with AARP Montana’s legislative efforts from the last several sessions to improve access to home and community-based services for older adults in Montana.

Kristin’s relationship-building skills, strategic planning and policy analysis have prepared her well to assume this important leadership position.”

“Everything I have engaged in so far has been driven by my keen interest in making a difference in people’s lives,” said Page-Nei. “I welcome the opportunity to join the AARP team and continue to use my skills and experience to further the goals of the organization and the people served.”

Page-Nei graduated from University of Montana with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Public Administration Emphasis. Page-Nei is replacing Mike Batista, who retired from AARP in August of 2024.
