2025 Red Shirt Day at the State Capitol

On Monday, March 17, AARP Arkansas was informed that the legislature agreed to adjourn the week of our scheduled lobby day, causing us to reschedule our AARP Arkansas Red Shirt Day from March 26 to April 8. We sincerely apologize for the late notice and any inconvenience it may cause.


On Tuesday, April 8, AARP Arkansas will be hosting its annual Red Shirt Day at the Arkansas State Capitol.

Seating is capped at 100, including our “red shirts” and invited guests. Please mark your transportation preference when you register.

To reserve your spot, please register HERE. If you have already registered and still plan to attend, you do not need to take additional steps, your registration will simply roll over to the new date. If you registered but can no longer attend, please update your registration through the link or reach out to ASD Advocacy Chris McCoy at cmmccoy@aarp.org.

Guests will go through security when they arrive, so please travel light. Take the elevator or stairs to the 2nd floor and check in at the AARP Arkansas welcome tables. The event will occur in the rotunda. Box lunches will be provided. A group photo will occur at 12:45 p.m. on the capitol steps or inside the rotunda. Buses leave the Capitol at approximately 1:00 p.m. to return to their original destination.
