2025 AARP NJ Advocacy Priorities

AARP has a long and proud history of non-partisan voter engagement. New Jersey voters aged 50 and over continue to dominate turnout across the state, consistently shaping election outcomes – especially in non-presidential elections. Voters 50 and over were 65% of the electorate in 2021 67% of in 2023 statewide.

Candidates in New Jersey who want to win should listen to older voters and address the issues that matter to them – like delivering on the promise of property tax relief through the Stay NJ program, transforming our system of long-term care, and supporting the one million New Jerseyans who help care for aging parents, spouses, and other loved ones.
