About the Event
Ain't it good to know, you've got a friend? A lot of ‘em! And we're heading to midtown Manhattan— 1619 Broadway, The Brill Building, to be exact. That's where some of the greatest music from the 1950s and '60s came from—heart-breakers and chart-breakers like Stand by Me, Where the Boys Are, River Deep, Mountain High, You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin', and Breaking Up Is Hard to Do. During its heyday, the eleven-story Brill Building contained 165 independent music companies—song writers, arrangers, musicians, producers, publishers, printers, and promoters—that knew they were much better together. Without a doubt, the tenants of this fabulously famous music factory turned the tunes of Carole King, Neil Sedaka, Neil Diamond, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weill, and Lieber & Stoller into the soundtrack of a generation. So, get ready to dial back the decades and experience the music, stories and "thrill of the Brill" with multi-award-winning vocalist Scott Coulter & company.
