AARP Pennsylvania is hosting a free shredding and e-cycling event in York County for consumers, providing a secure way to dispose of sensitive documents and unwanted electronics while giving back to the community.
Bring old bank statements, tax records, medical bills, and other personal paperwork for on-site shredding. You can also recycle electronics like computers, phones, and small devices in an environmentally friendly way.
Acceptable electronic recycling items include: Computers (Desktop and Laptop), Hard Drives, Monitors (Flat Screen Only), Printers, Copiers, DVD Players, VCRs, Modems, USB Cords, Routers, Cell Phone/Mobile Phones, Insulated Cable & Wire, Video Games/X-Boxes, Laptops, iPads & Tablets, Cable Boxes
Items that are NOT accepted include: CRT Monitors, TVs, Appliances
Businesses can contact Omega Ecycles directly for their FREE recycling and data destruction.
While the event is free, registration is required to ensure adequate resources. Attendees are also invited to bring nonperishable food donations for the York County Food Bank to help support local families in need.
