In celebration of AARP founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus' birthday, we will delve into the remarkable stories of the women laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery. You will learn about Milwaukee’s activists, humanitarians, leaders, lawyers and entertainers from your seasoned guide. Have a seat at several spots along the way to go deeper into the lives and legacies of some of these notable women. We'll conclude the walk with a cupcake celebration to toast our founder on her birthday!
This is an outdoor walking event with different types of terrain (grass, rocks..etc), please wear comfortable shoes. This tour will run rain or shine and will only be canceled in the event of a dangerous weather event. This is about an hour long and the walk will be around 1 mile.
Meet under the canopy outside Halls of History (next to the main office inside the Lincoln Avenue entrance).
