Your time could mean the world to people in need of food.
AARPCO’s Western Slope Community Team would like to invite you to join them for an AARPCO Day of Service* at the Food Bank of the Rockies Western Slope Distribution Center on Thursday, June 27, 2024, 1 – 3:30 p.m.
Join us in packing food boxes for older adults in the community who may be at risk for food insecurity. Volunteer alongside our local AARP Community team in the warehouse where they will help inspect, clean, sort and repack perishable and non-perishable grocery items for distribution and preparing produce for the dehydrating process.
This is a free event, registration is required and space is limited.
This is a one day volunteer opportunity, you will not be contacted to volunteer for AARPCO unless you fill out an offical AARP volunteer application.
*Most areas require the ability to move freely and lift up to 30 pounds. Volunteers must be at least 10 years old and accompanied by an adult, or 16 years old to volunteer on their own. Please note, there will be Food Bank of the Rockies staff members on hand to help with heavier lifting.
