Participate in a virtual tour of Susan B. Anthony’s house to celebrate women getting the vote.
About the Event
AARP New York and the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House in Rochester, New York, have joined forces to offer an exploration of Susan B. Anthony’s life and work through a 90-minute virtual tour of the home where she was famously arrested for voting in 1872. The home also served as the headquarters of the National American Woman Suffrage Association when Anthony was its president and is where she died in 1906 at age 86 following her “Failure is Impossible” speech in Baltimore.
Questions will be encouraged throughout the presentation.
