In this series, award-winning musician Barry Wiesenfeld explores the musical contributions of the Beatles, Bach and Beethoven.
About the Event
In The Three B’s of Music: The Beatles, Bach and Beethoven, award-winning musician Barry Wiesenfeld examines the backgrounds and works of these musicians and their influence on later musicians and composers.
In the last webinar of the three-part series, Wiesenfeld will explore Ludwig van Beethoven, who took the musical world into which he was born, mastered it and then yelled, “Hey, everybody, follow me!”as he transformed the Classical Era into the Romantic Era. Grove’s Dictionary of Music describes him as “… probably the most admired composer in the history of Western music” and for good reason. Beethoven lived a tragic life, but gave us gifts that we treasure still, and the emotion in his music is unrivaled. We’ll delve into his life and some of those gifts.
We'll also explore the positive effects that music has on brain health.
