Four focused days of clearing the clutter and embracing a fresh start!
Join AARP Long Island and the Family Service League for four focused days of clearing the clutter and embracing a fresh start! Let's tackle it together, step by step. Bring your old laptop or tablet on the following days: April 21, 22, 23 and 24th to help others in need through SeniorNet’s Refurbishing Program at The Don Weidman Computer Learning Center/Family Service League located at 790 Park Avenue in Huntington. The laptops and tablets that are refurbished are donated to families in need through Family Service League. These donations are so valuable for families, helping children to do their schoolwork, helping households to connect with their doctors, and enabling housebound disabled and elderly to connect with their families and friends. You can also help divert millions of pounds of unwanted electronics from landfills or incineration! By keeping electronic waste out of landfills, together we can ensure that this waste stream does not pollute our air, water, and communities.
Upon donation, you’ll receive a free gift from AARP Long Island (reusable grocery bag – with a flyer invitation to our free paper shredding community events this AARP!
